New Laser Welding Cell

Laser welding

June 12, 2020

At QMC-EMI we are constantly investing in new technologies that will benefit your upcoming projects. Our new 6000w Trumpf TruDisk Laser weld cell can increase repeatability, quality, and functionality. With three stations, one horizontal table and two stations with servo trunnions, it is capable of holding a 96in x 60in fixture. Completing two to five welds per second, it can increase process speed, enhance the strength of joints, and allow for greater tooling flexibility. Connect with us today to see how your next project can benefit from our new remote laser weld cell.

In-House Kirksite Foundry Reduces Lead-Time

Kirksite foundry tools

March 25, 2020

Our in-house kirksite foundry creates short lead-time for tool and assembly for projects that require quick turnaround. We have a pour capacity of 60,000 lbs. per casting and over 750,000 lbs. a month. Kirksite (zinc alloy) requires little machining to the molding surfaces and can be easily polished for a nice, smooth finish. This allows us to produce tooling for tight time schedules and incorporate changes very quickly. Contact us at to see if our kirksite foundry is right for your next project.
